Mini Camps for December

I have had many parents ask me about doing some small Introductory Mini-Art Camps 2-3 hours for the Christmas Holiday. Here are the dates that are available for the kids to come spend some time creating gifts for their friends and family. You can enroll as a single student or your kids can get a group of friends together and enroll as a group of four.

This is also a good way for kids to see whether they are interested in taking classes and parents can also get some Christmas shopping done. :)

Cost: $45 per session per child, this includes the cost of all materials & a snack.

There are only 4 openings per session

Session 1 Friday December 13th 4pm-6:30pm

Session 2 Saturday December 14th 9am-11:30am

Session 3 Sunday December 15th 9:30am-12:00pm
                                       12:30pm-3pm

Projects will consist of making the following gifts at selected mini camp sessions: "Cookie's -n- Milk" Ceramic Customized Plate and Mug, Cork Coasters, Personalized wooden clipboard with notepad, Personalized Holiday Ornament in a Christmas box, Glass or Plastic Christmas Candle Holder Snowglobes, "Making a list, checking it twice" Spool Ornament, and Christmas Paintbrush Ornaments.

What my Art Studio is all about

We all learn art in a unique way. You could say that there is no wrong or right way to do things.  Imagination is a key concept needed to create a work of art. When you combine color, line, and formation the possibilities are endless. All you need is your imagination!

Students will conceptually learn about art in a way that makes it easy for them to apply to their unique imagination. Our grand opening month of December is about all about color. For 3 weeks kids will learn the concept of color and how they can apply it to a variety of ideas. At the end of the 3 weeks they will chose what picture that they want to use to create a 'Pop Art' masterpiece.

At the beginning of every month thereafter, I will post the concept with a little history which the students will learn and then the can let their imaginations run wild coming to their weekly lesson! 

Registration is only $35 per child. This includes a sketch pencil kit and notebook that the students will bring to class for their weekly lesson.

Classes are $55 a month and includes 4 classes a month. Classes are once a week for 50 minutes.  Make up classes are available. Make up classes will be evaluated on a child-by-child basis in an effort to adhere to the monthly art concept. Please let me know by email or by phone at least 2-3 days before if you child is not going to be able to make it . Please be on time because classes run back to back. My blog will be updated if the schedule changes. I will follow WCPSS rules for inclement weather.

For the months of January and February, these are the times available for the week. I will revise the schedule in March because I know a lot of kids participate in sports. I will give parents the opportunity to work around sports for the art lessons. Class sizes will consist of about 3-4 kids per class. Classes will be 50 minutes long

So the time has finally come. I am really excited to share the news with all my family and friends. I am getting ready to start my Art Studio. This is something that I have been wanting to do since I was little. Forever Creations Art Studio is going to be opening in December 2013. I am in the works of getting the studio ready for students to come and learn about Art but have fun creating their own masterpieces that they can be proud of and call their own.... All you need is a little bit of color and a world of imagination. 

Every month there will be a new art concept that will be taught. At the end of the month, students will get to create a piece of art using the techniques they learned in class.
