March & April's Schedule

For the months of March & April, these are the times available for the week. I will revise the schedule in May. Class sizes will consist of about 3-4 students per class. Classes will be 50 minutes long.

March 2014 Lesson

This month the kids will be learning about Quill Art. This is a form of art that is made from nothing but strips of paper. It's the art of paper twirling. It requires a lot of patience but the outcome is divine. March & April's schedule is posted on the next post. 

Snow Days!!

3 No school snow days In a row! Valentines day camps are still available. Have your kids get out of the house for a few hours and create some cute cards for their friends. Since we had so many kids already signed up. We are offering classes all next week and the weekend for those who couldn't make it.

February is all about Shapes and Lines

How to make shapes and use them to make drawings. Learning about depth and dimensions and applying it to art. 

Color....

Color is the place where our brain and the universe meets. Color harmony or themes are useful in working by yourself or in a group for any project.

Valentine's Day Mini Art Camps

Valentine’s Day Cards

Kids/Parents, Come join the Valentines’s Day Art Camps and make personalized Valentines for your friends. These won’t be your typical paper cards. Kids can bring in their class list that teachers provide. 

Valentine’s Day Box

Kids can come make their Valentine’s day boxes that they can use in class to collect their Valentines during their class party. A lot of schools have kids make them at home. They can come to the studio and use all the materials that they need to make a lovely box. 

This is one that Emma created last year and won for Fanciest and Prettiest in her class competition. If kids have certain directions to follow from their teacher they can bring that with them and make theirs according to that. 

Camps will be held no the following days and there are 4 openings per session so kids can come with their friends and have a blast.

I will hold the camps during the day or a day not listed above during the week if requested. 

Each class is 2 hours long and $45. Class will include a drink and snack and all supplies except a shoe box or cereal boxes will need to be provided by parents for those making the Valentine’s Day Box.

The Week of 1-12-14

This week the kids are having some fun mixing colors from the techniques they learned and applying them to their picture they chose last. Here is an example of color using pop art.
